Russian charka made from silver.
OUR ANCESTORS knew that silver has powerful antimicrobial properties. It has a detrimental effect on a number of pathogenic microbes. It’s no wonder that all royal courts and nobles in every country used silver utensils for their meals.

HISTORY of SALES: A few years ago, Russian vodka cups were sold on Live Auctioneers for $1,700 (1 year ago), $1,713 (2 years ago), $3,331 (10 years ago), and $8,000 (6 years ago) - please refer to the screenshots for details. Today, prices have significantly increased compared to those of 5-10 years ago.

VODKA: Vodka is a clear distilled alcoholic beverage with different varieties originating in Poland and Russia. It is composed primarily of water and ethanol, but sometimes with traces of impurities and flavorings. Traditionally it is made by distilling the liquid from potatoes or cereal grains that have been fermented, though some modern brands use fruits or sugar as the base. Since the 1890s, standard vodkas have been 40% alcohol by volume (ABV) (80 U.S. proof). The European Union has established a minimum alcohol content of 37.5% for vodka. Vodka in the United States must have a minimum alcohol content of 40%. Vodka is traditionally drunk 'neat' or 'straight' (not mixed with water, ice, or other mixers), although it is often served freezer chilled in the vodka belt of Belarus, Estonia, Finland, Iceland, Lithuania, Latvia, Norway, Poland, Russia, Sweden, and Ukraine. It is also used in cocktails and mixed drinks, such as the vodka martini, Cosmopolitan, vodka tonic, screwdriver, greyhound, Black or White Russian, Moscow mule, Bloody Mary, and Caesar.

WHY is it BENEFICIAL to EAT from SILVER UTENSILS?: If a set of silverware is used when eating, the human body becomes less susceptible to colds and viruses. The action of silver ions is in some ways identical to antibiotics, but silver, unlike them, does not destroy beneficial microflora. While the plague was raging in European countries in the Middle Ages, those who ate from such dishes remained unharmed. In Russia, Orthodox churches had a tradition of giving communion from silver utensils, using a silver spoon. This made it possible to avoid intestinal infections, which were not common here. Contact with silver can destroy almost all pathogenic microbes.
