Vertical dark lines in primary photo are a result of acid burns from spacing between wood backing. There is debris inside the glass, and the mat is heavily toned with losses to the corners. The actual watercolor painting is in good condition with no visible tears, repairs or notable losses, except for some burning of the paper coming through. It does exhibit homogenous toning to paper; no foxing was noted. There are two tiny losses to top surface/pigment in the top right corner and to the lower right edge. It is recommended that the watercolor be taken to a restorer if the burns are an issue and is reframed with a new acid-free mat. Frame has a few minor nicks and scuffs.
