TWO CARVED BAMBOO BRUSH POTS, BITONG
19th century, each signed Yin Yongqing
One of cylindrical form finely incised with a continuous scene from Romance of the Western Chamber where Zhang Sheng is dreaming of Cui Yingying, with the incised signature Yin Yongqing; the other of compressed cylindrical form, one side incised with a landscape scene, the reverse with a poetic inscription in seal-script with and bearing the seal of Yin Yongqing.
14.5cm (5 3/4in) high (2).

Condition
Both brush pots have vertical stress lines running from the top and bottom ends of the brush pot. The smaller one has a chip to two of the three small feet.
