Standing L-R: unidentified woman (Otoe), unidentified woman (Otoe), George Arkeketah (Otoe), Prairie Turtle aka James Whitewater (Otoe), Baptiste DeRoin (Omaha/Otoe/French) Sitting L-R: James Arkeketah aka James Harragarra (Otoe), Standing Eating aka Robert Headman (Otoe), Big Black Bear aka Munce Hunce (Otoe), Richard White Horse (Otoe), unidentified woman and girl (Otoe) - circa 1884. Baptiste Deroin, the man wearing citizen clothes, was the interpreter for the Otoe tribe. The photo was most likely taken in Oklahoma after they had been removed to their reservation at Red Rock.
