Black, Albert “Blood” (B.1947) Florida Highwaymen. Mixed media on a large mailing envelope - signed lower right. A large Poinciana provides abundant shade for a rest next to a small home by the river. Created during a period of the artists incarceration when oil paint was not available to him. Envelope measures 11.5x14.5 with a black matte border 16x20. African American Highwaymen Folk Art, evolved from the Backus Indian River School Art Colony. Condition: Very Fine
