Item Details
Description
GERMAN-JEWISH WWII SEWING THREADS from PARIS
An absolute top rarity, seldom found elsewhere. A few years ago, we were fortunate to discover a full box of sewing thread from a former uniform tailoring operation. This sewing thread is a rare WWII relic, with some spools still in their original packaging, making it exceptionally well-preserved. It is nearly impossible to find sewing thread of this quality today. After WWII, most of this thread was exhausted, making it extremely scarce today. However, it remains a valuable item for collectors, hobbyists, and restorers. This thread is essential for repairing uniforms, sewing seams, attaching buttons, and other crucial tasks. It is an indispensable resource for anyone looking to restore a uniform set to its original condition. Here, you have a unique opportunity to acquire this completely untouched WWII black thread, ideal for sewing armored uniforms, SS uniforms, and NSKK uniforms. This thread is not only rare but also in absolute top condition, with some spools still in their original packaging and containers bearing original stamps and markings.

HISTORY: In 1942, the Nazis began Operation Reinhard, the systematic deportation of Jews to extermination camps. Nazi authorities throughout Europe deported Jews to ghettos in Eastern Europe or most often directly to extermination camps built by Nazi Germany in occupied Poland. Almost 300,000 people were deported from the Warsaw Ghetto alone to Treblinka over the course of 52 days. In some ghettos, local resistance organizations staged ghetto uprisings. None were successful, and the Jewish populations of the ghettos were almost entirely killed. On June 21, 1943, Heinrich Himmler issued an order to liquidate all ghettos and transfer remaining Jewish inhabitants to concentration camps. A few ghettos were re-designated as concentration camps and existed until 1944.
