Count Emanuel Sievers: A Russian Champlevé Enameled Gilt Silver Presentation Triptych Icon Michael Ovchinnikov, St. Petersburg, circa 1904 2-3/4 x 4-1/8 inches (6.8 x 10.5 cm) (open) 2-3/4 x 1-7/8 inches (6.8 x 4.8 cm) (closed) 88 grams (gross) PROVENANCE: Presented to Count E.E. Sievers, 1904. Count Emanuel Emanuelovich Sievers was a Baltic German aristocrat of the Russian empire. Born in 1846, he was the son of Count Emanuel Karlovich von Sievers (1817-1909), Senator of the Russian Empire, and Grand Marshall of the Imperial Court. Educated in St. Petersburg, he married Princess Olga Ivanovna Urusova, retired from Imperial service in 1904, and died in 1918.
