Canadian. 1900s. Single-sided porcelain (SSP). An early and exquisite John H.R. Molson and brothers Montreal corner sign, IPA is scripted beneath the profusely illustrated crown and anchor logo central to the sign, on the upper and lower edge it reads "printed and issued by us as our trade mark and label" - registered according the act of parliament. Marked, "Montreal", lower edge. 24" x 16.5" x 2". From a Private Quebec Collection.

Outstanding graphics. Very good overall condition with good colour and gloss. Losses mostly restricted to the edges, especially around mounting holes, with one dime-sized loss beneath upper mounting hole above the 'L' in Molson.
