Description
An antique late 19th to early 20th-century Russian icon locket pendant. A hand-painted tryptich on wood enclosed in silver framing with polychrome cloisonne enamel decor. The icons depict Mother of God with Baby Jesus and two saints. There is a suspension ring on top. Hallmark of 88 silver standard and makers mark are on the backside, also marked in Cyrillic, KHLEBNIKOV. Ivan Khlebnikov is a jewelry company founded in 1871 in Moscow, which gained fame for making jewelry from gold, silver and precious stones. Winner of various awards at international and Russian exhibitions. Supplier of the Court of His Imperial Majesty.
