Description
Pre-Columbian, Northern Mexico, Casas Grandes, Ramos style, ca. 1100 to 1450 CE. A pottery effigy vessel in the form of a person, coil formed and painted in polychrome red, black, and creamy white hues, resting on a round but stable base. The bulbous body has a flat panel projecting from the front rim displaying an abstract human face with a high relief nose, mouth, and ears, the eyes and rest of the surface are painted in a classic geometric style. Size: 5.25" Diameter x 6.75" H (13.3 cm x 17.1 cm)
