A Chinese copper-red and underglaze blue 'One Hundred Birds' hu vase, on either side finely painted with birds in a garden, on one side painted a peony garden with pairs of magpies perched on rock work and pine trunk, the other side painted with a pair of phoenixes and cranes in a garden, and mandarin ducks at a pond, all depicting the scene of 'One Hundred Birds', the neck paired with stylised dragon handles, the bottom reserved with a Qianlong mark, Republic period/ 20thC, H 46,5 cm
