The present work was reproduced in a pamphlet of the Coleccion de Pinturas de la Legacion de Cuba en Moscu printed in 1944.

The surface layer is quite thick and texturized in certain areas, a result of the artist mixing oil pigment with likely sand or another similar substance. A few minute losses throughout the composition: two to the lower left quadrant (measuring 0.50 cm); one to the base of the far-left tree; another located directly below the red house. Examination under Ultra-Violet light reveals: no apparent signs of retouching or inpainting. Subject to the foregoing, it is in our opinion that the work appears to be in very good condition.
