A pair of Art Deco period 'tiger' maple and walnut bedside cabinets, each with well-figured maple tops, banded in walnut, with three long drawers in maple veneer with walnut veneered plinths 54 x 31 x 43cm Well-constructed with solid mahogany drawer linings and well-figured veneers and rich pale honey colour Structurally sound with probably the original French polished finish Usual scuffs commensurate with use but generally the veneers are very good These were originally the pedestals to a dressing table hence one bedside has an arc indentation in the top where a three fold mirror panel has swung across The front of one plinth showing slight distortaion due to shrinkage. Could be easily glued/clamped.
