Item Details
Description
Available for your consideration is a prehistoric Tularosa pottery olla. Tularosa pottery was produced by the ancestral Pueblo, the Anasazi, beginning about 1150 A.D. and continuing through about 1350 A.D. Associated with large, late stage Anasazi villages, the Tularosa type is generally found in the Northern Mogollon and Southern Cibola areas. This fine large jar is intricately decorated in black, whirling geometrics covering the white base. Anasazi pottery is distinguished from that of other Southwestern culture areas by its predominant colors (gray, white, and sometimes red). Make this one yours and own a piece of prehistory!
