Offered here for your consideration are two horsehair ropes. These horsehair ropes are also known as a mecate. Both are made of natural colors, one in brown and the other in a reddish brown braided with white. The reddish brown rope has a braided button with a horsehair tassel on one end and the other has a leather popper. The brown rope has a braided button with a horsehair tassel, and the other end has come slightly unbraided. These ropes are good looking and very usable. Make them part of your tack!

APPROX AGE: Vintage (meaning somewhere between 1930s to 1970s).
SIZE: The reddish brown rope is 270 inches (22 feet 6 inches) and the dark brown rope is 254 inches (21 feet 2 inches).
CONDITION: Average to good for their age, normal wear and minor imperfections expected. Note - the brown rope has come slightly unbraided on one end. Please look closely at the pictures as they are an important part of our description and are hereby incorporated into the description, specifically with regards to condition.
