Areas of wear and tarnish overall to the pieces. Small chips to the marble and quartz bases, The dog inkwell has a break to the strap in the dog's mount, with an associated porcelain inkpot. The horse inkwell is lacking its inkpot. The kneeling African figure originally intended to hold another object aloft, now lacking that object. The tobacco box, a gift from Princess Mary to the British troops in 1914, with some dents and wear. The hinge is not tight. The quartz-mounted sculpture has an illegible plque to base.
