A Louis XV Gilt Bronze Quarter Repeating Table Clock for the Middle Eastern Market
Thuret, Paris, Circa 1765
with a segmented enamel dial; the regulation square under numeral XII, signed on the large rectangular vie-vase-shape pillar movement verge escapement; with silk suspension and an outside numbered uncut counterwheel striking the hour and half with pull quarter repeat on two bells.
Height 25 x width 14 x depth 7 inches.
This lot is located in Palm Beach.
Property from the Estate of Joanna Hoffman, Palm Beach, and Her Father, John Hoffman, Member of the British Antique Dealers’ Association and the Confederation Internationale de Negociants en Oeuvres d’Art.

Condition

Silk suspension loop needs re-tying; no pendulum, wear and discoloration to the gilding, center of the dial re-enameled. Red velvet inside the sides is modern.
