DESCRIPTION: Pair of large Japanese cloisonne vases, each decorated with floral, foliage, butterfly, and fan motifs. Each marked on underside, possibly with the mark of Takahara Komajiro.
CIRCA: Early 20th century
ORIGIN: Japanese
DIMENSIONS: H: 18.25" Diameter: 7.5"
CONDITION: (First vase) Two areas of impact damage to body. Moderate enamel loss inside mouth. Other, minor spots of enamel loss. (Second vase) Areas with moderate hairline cracks. Minor enamel loss to lip and at inside of mouth. Other, minor spots of enamel loss.
