Elvis Presley Show 1970s Tour Used Travel Case W/LOA - This leather travel case was used by The Elvis Presley Show for Las Vegas engagements and tours in the early 1970s. The case is leather with green velvet lining and ten trays, top handle, and metal corners. The case has a gold label reading, "This Equipment Property of: Elvis Presley Show c/o MGM Studios Culver City, CA 90230". The lot includes a letter of authenticity from Elvis collector and historian Joseph Kereta, stating that the item was acquired from Billy "Cat" Ferguson who was one of the employees responsible for transporting stage equipment from early 1969 to early 1970s. The letter states in part, "Colonel Tom Parker had offices at MGM Studios and would keep such equipment and promotional items in storage during down time. Mr. Ferguson acquired this case when Col. Parker decided to have one of his 'in-house auctions' of various items he was discarding." Measurements: 21.75 x 13.5 x 8 inches.
