Description: In Danielem Prophetam Libri Sexdecim by Perera, Benet Rome, Georg Ferrarius, 13 volumes, 495 pages, 8 volumes, 1587. Featuring a huge woodcut printer gadget on the cover. Size of folio: 9.5 by 13" (33x23 cm) cardboard boards with half parchment. Theologian and Spanish Jesuit Benet Perera (also known as Pereyra, Benedict Pereira, or Benet Pererius; 1536–1610) wrote the first edition of her commentary on the Bible. Though regarded as his principal work, the philosophical treatise "De communibus omnium rerum naturalium principiis et affectionibus libri quindecim" distinguishes out for being especially structured and less discursive. – With ownership markings on the manuscript and a stamped title. Excellent condition, some wear. Latin text. Benedetto Pereira, often spelled Perera or Pereyra, was a Jesuit-ordered Spanish philosopher, theologian, exegete, and physical linguist who lived from 1535 until 1610. He was an instructor at the Roman College in Rome.
