Green cloth blindstamped binding, gilt title, 216 pages, 4 1/2" x 7 1/2". Pencil notations on title page, end paper and back board pastedown. Front hinge broken, foxing throughout.Child (1802-1880) a Massachusetts native, called for immediate emancipation (without compensation), racial equality, she was strongly against an African colony (like Liberia) as a destination for freed slaves.
