Description
Two sculptured Santos figures. The first, likely Spanish Colonial 19th century, depicting a composition child (probably terra cotta) standing in front of a cross and bleeding from the chest and left leg, probably the Child Jesus and mounted on original wooden platform - traces of original paint and in good condition - measures 15"H x 9 1/4"W; the second, Italian 18th century or earlier, depicting a carved wooden figure of Jesus as He would hang from a cross - original paint - missing cross, arms reglued to shoulder and losses to fingers on His left hand, otherwise good condition - measures 10 1/2"H x 9"W. Provenance: From a Rochester NY estate, name withheld by family.
