A German silver vase Hanau, pseudo style marks, late 19th / early 20th century Vase form with fruiting vine swags, with horns forming the handles issuing from applied masks, acanthus lower body, on a pedestal foot, height 28cm;, together with another vase, with pseudo style marks, probably Hanau, baluster form profusely embossed with masks in high relief among acanthus, bead rims and the spreading foot with applied birds and insects, 27.8cm; together with a cup and cover, unmarked, possibly Hanau, in the 17th century style, cast with acanthus, flowers and fruits, bands interspersed with leopard head masks, stylised heraldic reserves, the body and cover with inset Elizabeth I coins, the pull-off cover surmounted with a classical soldier holding a spear and shield, inside rim of cover with crude scratched in inscription 'Peter a Robin of Whitchurch Upper Leader 1624' height 29.8cm, weight 56oz.
