A 1958 Hofner Committee archtop guitar, serial #2919, in natural finish. Owned and played by Randy Bachman, who has sold 40 million records worldwide as a member of The Guess Who, Bachman-Turner Overdrive, and as a solo artist.
Produced from 1954-1969, initially with the help of a “committee” of Britain’s six finest guitarists, the Committee is a stunning entry in the Hofner catalog. This one, finished in natural with elegant fretboard inlays and the “frondose” headstock, ranks among Randy’s favorites.
Features a five piece maple neck with a 22-fret ebony fingerboard with eight mother of pearl fret position markers. Spruce top with Birdseye maple back and sides, with multi-ply binding surrounding 17.25 inch body. Bound f-holes, ebonized adjustable bridge, nickel harp tailpiece.
Includes molded hardshell case.
