The Fender Tweed 3x10 Bandmaster is a highly coveted vintage Fender amplifier that has been used by renowned musicians such as Joe Walsh, Eric Clapton, Pete Townsend, and Keith Richards. It has a rich history, with the Fender Bandmaster line starting in 1953 as a 1x15 version before evolving into the sought-after narrow panel 3x10 model in late 1955, known as the 5E7 Model.
This amplifier boasts 26 Watts of power delivered through three original P10R 10" Jensen Alnico speakers. In the preamp section, it features one 12AY7 and two 12AX7 tubes, while the output is driven by two 6L6GC tubes, and it utilizes a 5U4GA rectifier tube.
Compared to the later and more famous Bassman amplifier, the 3x10 Bandmaster has an earlier breakup point (26 watts versus the Bassman's 40 watts), making it an excellent choice for achieving rock or blues tones when cranked up moderately. It also excels at producing beautiful clean tones at lower volumes, which was its original design intention.
This item has not been tested for operation.
