Excellent, Portsmouth [&] Arithmetic School Problems, manuscript, together c. 200pp. excluding blanks, pen and inks (first title with watercolour wash illustration), small watercolour illustration of a ship undergoing target practice, numerous pen and ink illustrations in the text, ruled in red, slightly browned throughout, contemporary ink inscription on front free endpaper "Examined Thomas Holloway...", later ink signature on front pastedown, original half morocco, corners bumped, gilt spine, 4to, 1838.
