A SET OF SIX VICTORIAN SILVER AND SILVER-GILT SPOONS
by Cornelius Joshua Vander, London 1897, modelled in the 16th Century style, the drop bowls engraved with a shield, scroll and 1578, cast figural finial in armour with a scimitar bladed sword, in the original fitted box, gilt tooled inside cover with retailers Rowlands & Frazer. Spoons 12cm long, 9.7 troy ounces gross
The marks are clear and crisp. The gilding has some age-related surface wear, but the set is generally in good condition and well-presented.
