Provenience: Property from an Important Private Collection, Far Hills, New Jersey. Ceramic artist Katherine Houston uses eighteenth century techniques to craft exquisitely rendered porcelain fruits, flowers, and vegetables. She is one of the few artists in the world carrying on a tradition of hand sculpting hard paste porcelain, decorated with a broad range of color overglazes.
