Gao Fenghan, Flowers, Hanging scoll. Gao Fenghan (1683-1749), whose courtesy name was Xiyuan and whose name was Nancun. He was a native of Nanfushan and a native of Jiaozhou, Shandong. He once served as the county magistrate of She County, Anhui Province. After he resigned, he lived in Yangzhou. Good at painting landscapes and flowers. The landscape painters followed the Song Dynasty and were close to the school of Zhao Lingrang and Guo Xi. Around the age of 55, his right hand became ill and he switched to his left hand. He changed his name to "Shang Zuosheng" and inscribed "Ding Si Disabled Man". His paintings have the majestic spirit of the Song Dynasty and the tranquility of the Yuan Dynasty people. Qin Zuyong's "Tongyin's Theory of Painting" commented: "It is strange and wonderful, and it is beyond the boundaries of brush and ink. The method is full of interest. Although it does not follow the rules of the law, it is actually inseparable from the law.
