Wang Ziwu (October 1936 - December 8, 2021), a modern and contemporary Chinese figure painter and a representative of the Chang'an School of Painting, was born in Chang'an, Shaanxi (today's Xi'an City). Graduated from the Chinese Painting Department of Xi'an Academy of Fine Arts in 1963.In 1978, he was transferred to the Shaanxi Branch of the Chinese Artists Association to engage in professional creation. He has worked in Shaanxi Artists Association, Shenzhen Federation of Literary and Art Circles and other units. He is currently a member of the Chinese Artists Association, executive director of the Guangdong Artists Association, committee member of the Chinese Painting Research Institute, and vice chairman of the Shenzhen Federation of Literary and Art Circles. He is an expert enjoying special allowance from the State Council and a national first-class artist.
