Chinese Ming Longquan Porcelain Meiping Plum Jar. The porcelain potted into a traditional Meiping form, large, thick and tall potted, wide body on shoulder, slender neck easing to form narrow opening, flaring ring mouth rim, raised on round foot base slight concave. Warm and uniform green color applied to the whole surface. The Longquan celadons is a type of green-glazed Chinese and were among the finest of a range of celadon wares produced in China, and led stylistic and technical developments. The celadons were produced in a range of shades of color, centered on olive-green, but extending to greenish blues and browns.The underside unglazed, revealed the pale-creme ground revealed and dark greyish brown spotted firing marks and edge-cut foot rim.
