Albumen portrait of NY Cavalry soldier Henry Gilleo, mounted to card, mounted to larger letterpress sheet with transcription of sitter's letter to sister, dated Feb. 28th, 1862, describing day-to-day events of the war. Print: 5.75" x 3.75"; sheet: 19.25" x 8".
