Newspapers.- A large collection of 18th and 19th century Newspapers, mainly London and the South, including 'The Morning Chronicle' (55), 'Kentish Independent' (5), 'St James Chronicle' (2), 'Sussex Weekly Advertiser' (44), but also individual examples from across Great Britain, for example Bath, Birmingham, Glasgow and Liverpool, generally quite clean, although with scattered foxing and soiling, scattered ink stamps either prices or library, most with folds, and often toned at folds, minor creasing or fraying to edges, but around half a dozen more heavily browned and also with holes, tears or chips, folio et infra, 1795-1889. *** Over 130 numbers of British regional and city newspapers, spanning over 70 years of industrial revolution, Napoleonic wars and the growth of the British Empire (list available upon request).
