A Maya Stucco Head Maya Regions, Mesoamerica, Late Classic, c. 600-900 AD A portrait of a Maya ruler or noble modeled from lime stucco with remains of brick red pigments. Classic Maya facial features including bulging eyes with drilled pupils, large fleshy nose with its ridge continuing up into the forehead, mouth open showing upper teeth. In good condition, the upper third repaired all the way across, a large piece of the proper left temple area repaired, restoration over the break lines. Mounted to a wood base.
