Larson's Battlestar Galactica. Larson later used McQuarrie's early designs for the signature fighter craft of the Colonial fleet in his follow-up series Buck Rogers in the 25th Century, where the spaceship was known as Thunderfighter, the signature starfighter of the Earth Defense Directorate.

This illustration depicting a fanged spaceship with a Thunderfighter's yellow detailing on its front instead of a Viper's orange is rendered in mixed media on illustration paper. Its right edge and corners exhibit creasing. Dimensions: 12" x 9" (30.5 cm x 23 cm)
