The headboard is signed 'To Alex with Love + Luck, Mira Nakashima January 7 2004'. A second platform by another maker also is included. Accompanied by a letter of provenance detailing the relationship of the current owners family with the Nakashima family and information on the commission of this bed including a receipt for the headboard and drawings from Mira Nakashima. The headboard and single platform may be used to create a daybed, or can be used individually or all three pieces can be utilized as a king size platform bed with headboard.
