WESLEY DENNIS (AMERICAN, 1903-1966) ORIGINAL ILLUSTRATION, oil on canvas applied to plywood panel, depicting "Brighty" in a struggle against another burro against a Southwestern desert background and used in Marguerite Henry's "Brighty of the Grand Canyon" published in 1953. Circa 1953. 19 1/4" x 13 1/2" sight, 21 1/2" x 16" OA.
Provenance: Collection of the late John and Lil Palmer, Purcellville, VA.
