sgn. l.l. j. Romano, sepia ink, 7.75 by 5.75 in., matted, framed under glass
Erigone of Greek mythology was the daughter of Icarius. He was killed by companions of his shepherds because they thought Icarius had poisoned their friends, but in fact they were merely passed out, intoxicated by wine.
