"APACHE INDIAN MAIDEN" (NA-TU-ENDE), BOUDOIR PHOTO BY A. FRANK RANDALL, WILCOX, ARIZONA TERRITORY, May 1884. This images was handed down in the family directly from Frank Randall. Randall's writing is on recto. Until now this woman was only known as "Apache Squaw" or "Apache Indian Maiden" in this photo Randall has identified her as "40 Horse". This is in superb condition, bright and sharp. The finest example of this one we have ever seen.
The subject is posed holding an Apache basket, steadying a water jar, and with a burden basket at her feet. Albumen print on gilt edged mount.
