Original U.S. 1-Sheet (27 x 41 inch) Movie Poster from the 1954 re-release of the John Huston film noir classic “The Asphalt Jungle” starring Sterling Hayden, Louis Calhern and Marilyn Monroe. When this film was first released in 1950 Marilyn Monroe was not even listed in the credits of any of the posters. By the time of this 1954 re-release her star was on the rise and she was featured prominently on this poster (despite having a fairly small role in the film). This half sheet movie poster has some imperfections but still a great presentation. It has the original posting tape on the back and there are pin holes on the corners. The bottom left corner has a gouge out. There is a very small rip on the left side fold line. There is another larger rip on the left side closer to the top. It has been kept in its original fold lines.
