Description
Louis Icart (French 1888-1950), "Salome"-1928, drypoint and etching on paper, pencil signed in lower margin and with artist's blind stamp. Art Deco figural print depicting a young woman with short red hair in a blue bandeau top and skirt in an Egyptian stone interior being presented with a bloody knife or dagger (used to murder John the Baptist) on a circular platter by a man kneeling before her. Framed approximately 31.75" x 24". Sight size approximately 21.75" x 14.25".
