Original concept sketch of a re-design of the Starfleet jacket created by award winning costume designer Robert Blackman. This piece was created by production when the Starfleet uniforms were upgraded from a one-piece jumpsuit to the later season uniforms. Hand drawn in pencil, this piece features written notes, Blackmans signature with the date "92" and the words "Jacket based on Capt. Picards". This item measures 8.5"x 11", comes in a plastic sleeve with an attached sticker 'TNG:CM COSTUMES #58", stating it was used for the publication of the "Star Trek Costumes" book, and remains in excellent condition.
