Description
Group of Seven Chinese Snuff Bottles, 20th c., one a bone ear of corn; three porcelain; one agate with green stone stopper; one Peking glass of vegetable form; and one of bone with metal inlay. (7 Pcs.)
Condition
Condition consistent with age. Three bottles are lacking tops with the stoppers and utensils remaining in the interior. Maroon porcelain example- A flea-size firing flaw is noted on one figure. A pea-size area of sticker residue is observed near the base. Blue porcelain example- Brown residue is observed in the crevices. Scattered light wear is seen on the figures. Ducks- Black residue is noted on the bottom rim. Scattered minor sticker residue is observed throughout. Agate- Nothing to report. Bone with inlay- Slight separation is noted between the inlay and the bone, especially at the edges. The claw of one figure is bent outward. Bokchoy- Dust accretion is observed in the crevices. Corn- A flea-size chip is observed on the top rim. Several flea-size chips are noted along the edges. An intriguing group.
