Very unusual and important Indian Presentation battle saber for an English officer, having a fine carved ivory grip mounted with an English 1796 cavalry style steel guard. Blade of significant rarity and fine quality watered Wootz steel with richly gold inlaid calligraphic inscriptions running through the entire spine and along the spine on both sides, having slightly raised false edge tip and raised ricasso area.
