Colorful pair of hand-painted Chinese vases, awash in cool aqua blue, might have been among early souvenirs as relations with Western countries began opening up in the 1980s. The bottoms of each vase bears a wax stamped marked "S A C H," an department within the People's Republic of China that gave approval for items to be taken outside of China. These vases are in very nice condition, with no chips or cracks, and the painted-on designs have held up well. The scenes on each vase are symmetrical with to the other, and they would look lovely with tall dried plant or flower stems. Dimensions: 11".
