Rare Chinese Export Dish for the Persian Market, mid-19th century, in the rose medallion pattern, with carefully detailed butterflies and flowers on a gilt ground, the center medallion with gilt Persian calligraphy, dia. 10-3/4".

In overall good condition. Typical scattered firing anomalies only visible on the underside. Old, very faint hairline down from the rim (approx. 1-1/4")--only visible on the exterior. The banded reserve with minor rubbing and within the character field (see photo).
