By Hermann Bohm, circa 1870 The tapering conical vase painted overall with scrolling foliage, figural scenes, supported by a spread-winged eagle, on a similarly-decorated foot, stamped HB with Austrian control marks 14 cm high * Hermann Böhm was one of the best and most well-known representatives of Neo-Renaissance goldsmithing art. He created precious objects made in 16th-century style from enamel, rock crystal and semi-precious stones. A characteristic feature of Böhm’s fine enamel works is the meticulous and detailed painting. Provenance: David Brown Collection
