Pre-Columbian, Peru, ca. 1400 to 1500 CE. Wonderfully painted wooden chicha cup decorated in vibrant shades of red, yellow, green and tan. Showing a continuous narrative scene of everyday life including hunter going after a deer, woman caragador with burden bag held with a tump line, native birds, and another hunter using bolas. Lower area in carved and painted temple steps and textile patterns. Such a wonderful and colorful example! Size: 4.75" H (12.1 cm)
