Offered is a Roseville Clematis Pitcher. It was introduced by Roseville Pottery in 1944. This piece features the same design, of a blossom with seven petals and a brown center trailing an ivy vine on a textured brown and dark greenish background, on both sides. Marked on the bottom in raised relief "Roseville U.S.A." and the mold number 17-10". Size is 10-1/4" tall x 6" wide with 4-1/2" diameter base. This rings like a bell when tapped and there are no cracks or repair of any kind. On the inside of the bottom ring of the base is a chip, it is mentioned for accuracy with a close up photo showing this very minor flaw.
