Etrusco-Corinthian Bucchero Chalice depicting lions, flowers, rays, sphinx, etc. Accompanying Certificate of Authenticity dates to 625 B.C. and states: "Is made from clay, terra cotta, and has dimensions of 21.5 cm. height and 19 cm. width. This Rhython appears to have been used for wine or liquid drinking." COA gives detailed historical information about the style and form and goes on to state that it is from an old European collection based in Austria. The former owner was a chemist and graduate of the University of Vienna. Condition, as stated in the COA, is "some chipping although in good condition considering its age."
